A Message From The Principal

 

Thank you for visiting our web site and your interest in The Little Schoolhouse.

 

Since 2000, it's been my privilege to own and operate our preschool with the daily joy it gives me and my teachers to help form our wonderful children.

 

More than 600 childen have attended The Little Schoolhouse and we now have 35 attending in five classes, organised by age. 

 

It was always my chosen path to be a teacher and spend my life helping children.  How fortunate I have been to do just that! Having grown up in western Massachusetts, I attended Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Studies. I furthered my qualifications with a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts. 

 

My husband, Sean, and I moved home to Nassau in 1993. We have two daughters Haley and Kelsey, who, by the way, started their lifetime of learning at The Little  Schoolhouse.

 

At TLS, our students are experiencing hands-on learning in the fun, stimulating and supportive environment we've created at The Little Schoolhouse. We teach children fine social and personal qualities such as honesty, sincerity, courtesy, integrity and a genuine caring.

 

I believe in preparing students for a lifetime of learning and it begins here in preschool with creative, engaging instruction—and where all students are known as individuals.

The students are our number one priority.  We are so fortunate to have such intelligent, creative and inquisitive students, supportive and involved parents and an extraordinary staff that delivers the very best instructional program possible to our students.  Together we work as a team to ensure the success of each of our students!
